context:
been on topical min5 consistently for about a year now but wasted 3 months in that year applying fake topical min, progress regressed, now on topical min5+tret (1/day), and just started fin 1.25 mg 3/wk planning to switch to EOD (I’ve taken 5mg in total now). currently using keto shampoo 2% 2/wk. no side effects currently
thinning (noticeable by others) and receding hairline. my hairlines been like this for a year now, its probably over for me. i mainly want to fix my thinning hair.
Ngl i would have taken oral minoxidil amd topical finasteride. Things would be much easier and finasteride wouldn’t affect my body or barely affect it that way. Also how bad is it? How old are you. Take a pic if your fine with that and you can blur your face if you want(gallery→edit→pencil)
Stop wasting your time and money…start dutasteride and oral min after discussing with your doc/derm…this is the best and most aggresive treatment in my view or at a minimum fin and oral min. I was on fin and slowly lost ground over the years but dutasteride reversed what was lost with fin and then some. With oral min see if you can source sublingual min as you can take higher doses with minimal side effects compared to oral. Taking sublingually as opposed to orally reduces the chance of side effects. But if you cannot get sublingual then oral is ok if you start of slow and do not go over 5mg. Topical min never worked for me but sublingual min does.
