Considering Minoxidil After 15 Years on Finasteride: What to Expect?

15 year + Finasteride User looking at introducing minoxidil

I have always had thin hair and my hair started receding in my 20s. I started finasteride and it stopped receding and my hair improved and looked healthier. I have a slight propelyne glycol allergy, skin goes red and flakes, so I would use the foam. I do have mild dandruff and use nizoral, which seems to help.

Lately, it seems to be thinning at the hairline more than I like and am considering adding in minoxidil. Does anyone know what I should expect over the next few months? I can answer any questions about long term usage if there are any

Adding minoxidil should help with hairline thinning by stimulating growth. Expect an initial shed in the first few months, which is a normal part of the process.
