Good evening, I’ve been on TRT for 5 months and using dudasteride for 3 months.
I should point out that I was previously using finasteride. I decided to switch three months ago to better protect my hair from the increased testosterone from TRT, and therefore the increased DHT. Now the problem is that my hair is a mess, and I don’t know if this is due to the hair loss from dudasteride or the TRT itself, which is causing it to thin.
Switching from fin to dut can cause some initial shedding as your body adjusts. TRT increases testosterone, which could raise DHT levels, but dut should counteract this by reducing DHT. If the thinning continues, you might consider checking how your body is responding to dut and TRT. You can also add topical treatments if you haven’t already. Give it time, changes in treatment can take several months to show results.
