Concerns About 0.3% Topical Finasteride Dosage and Side Effects

I recently bought topical Finasteride 0.3% from Hims. The instructions state to apply 1ml once a day, that’s 3mg of finasteride in theory.

Now I know that the full 3mg isn’t getting absorbed but it still seems like a lot.

The sub seems to in general hate all things topical, but topical is appealing because it does not go as systematic. My biggest concerns are decreased libido and gyno. Gyno seems really rare but the decreased libido seems to be the most common symptom.

Should I use less than 1ml? Maybe 0.5 ml instead? Or should I just try to get 1mg oral.
