Balding (i guess?) 22 yr old male with seborrheic dermatitis

As per the title, I’ve noticed intense hair thinning and loss around my entire head around 3 weeks ago. I lost hair all over my head, but have seen no recession at my temples. Since then, I’ve been to the doctor and she believes that either my low vitamin d or the dermatitis is causing this sudden hairloss. I’m alarmed, because everything seems to be going slow: I have to wait and see if the treatments prescribed to me by the doctor actually work and then find the actual culprit.

I have been feeling nauseous every day for the past 4 months though, so I assumed that the underlying health issue has finally caused my hair to fall out in tons, but I can’t be too sure. Idk what to do, I will look giga shit bald. I have the face of a 16 yr old. I also have heart palpitations and slightly high blood pressure, so Im kind of scared of taking fin or min.

It sounds like seborrheic dermatitis might be causing your hair loss. Controlling inflammation can help, so using ketoconazole shampoo might be a good start. If you’re concerned about min or fin, and given your heart symptoms, it’s smart to be cautious. Topical treatments generally have fewer side effects, and focusing on treating the seb derm first may help stabilize the shedding. Consider checking out the Beginner’s Guide for more on treatments.
