Balding at 19 and looking for guidance/tips

Hello all. I am 19 and balding. This is my first post here but I was just wandering if anyone had any tips/guidance for me as I potentially being a treatment plan to hopefully revive my hair.

hey, since you’re 19 and starting to bald, it’s likely androgenetic alopecia. finasteride and minoxidil are your go-tos. min helps your hair grow by boosting blood flow, while fin slows down hair loss by lowering DHT. check out The Beginner’s Guide for more info. start soon, it can take months to see results.

Hi! I was in the same situation as you when I was 21. What’s your family history like when it comes to hair loss? Seeing a doctor would be the best option. Let me tell you what I did. I started taking 1 mg of finasteride daily, consistently, and I stopped worrying about it. At 33, I have no regrets—actually, I wish I had added minoxidil earlier. One piece of advice I can give you is to stop looking at yourself in the mirror for a while (in my case, I shaved my head, u don’t need to do it) and try to forget about the issue. This is a long-term journey, and constantly checking your hair can make you feel worse and make mistakes. Another tip: don’t obsess over potential side effects—your mind can sometimes play tricks on you. If you do get any, you’ll notice. Final piece of advice: a good goal is to stop hair loss—aiming to regrow hair in the temples is too ambitious. You can consider yourself a winner if you manage to stop its progression. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t regain hair in the temple area. For a huge number of men—especially if they’re Caucasian—that’s just the natural shape of their hairline, and medications don’t work well there.

Take care.
