Advice on Combining Minoxidil, Dutasteride, Dermarolling, Laser Cap at Age 43

I’ve been off all hair meds/treatments for several years, and even though I’ve been holding up really well for 43, I’m seeing a little more shedding and want to get ahead of it. I’m going to go back on oral dut, topical minoxidil, and add dermarolling and a laser cap to the mix. I bought that Korabaceuticals microneedling pen and an iRestore cap (not affiliated with them, I swear, these were just my FSA purchases at the end of 2025). Does anyone have a routine for synthesizing all of these treatments? It’s a lot to navigate simultaneously and trying to figure out how to optimize all of it without overdoing.

And can starting a laser cap prompt some shedding? I started using the iRestore around every day nearly a month ago, and I swear my shedding has gone up.

Thanks in advance.

It’s normal to see increased shedding when you start a new treatment. This might be due to hairs shedding before thickening up. Try dut daily, min twice a day, and dermaroll once a week. You can use the laser cap in between, though its effectiveness for AGA is debatable. Stick with it for a few months to see results.
