Advice Needed After Finasteride Stopped Working After 6 Years

Looking for some overall advice

I’ve been a long time lurker and have received some great info from this sub. I’ve been on Fin (5mg) topical min for about 6 years total. The first 4 years I got really great gains. So much so that I stopped taking fin for about 8 months and instantly regretted it. I have since tried to get back to where I was. I am currently at a year and some change with the same formula I used that worked to no avail.

I have introduced vitamins (magnesium, biotin) use Hims shampoo and conditioner and switch with nizoral on occasion. I recently introduced derma rolling (.5mm) about a month ago.

Should I switch up the method? Or am I at a loss here.

Thank you.

Since you’ve restarted your regimen, remember it can take up to a year or longer to see full results again. Consider options like oral minoxidil and potentially adding dutasteride if you’re not satisfied with fin alone, as it’s stronger. Microneedling is great—try 1mm weekly for better effects. Patience is key; treatments take time. Keep up with your current routine and monitor your progress over the coming months.
