8 months on finasteride, worked well until 5.5 month mark and then I started shedding EVERYWHERE. Lost all of my gains and am about 30% worse off from when I started fin. The shedding started off as only 10-20 strands but now is 100-200 in the shower everyday (with 3-5 strands falling out every time I run my hand through my hair). It’s really scary and I’m not sure how much longer I should wait before I try dut. I’m also considering using dut together with fin (dut once a week and fin six times a week) since I still have six months supply of fin. The doctor I consulted was very uncertain about it (just because she had never encountered it before), but I read about others having good results.
oh man that sucks. In general the hard and smart approach is usually to hold the line despite how scary it is. The numbers are very strong that fin eventually wins. Maybe add oral minoxidil.
