First of all, I just want to say how much I appreciate this forum. There are some true success stories here and you’ve inspired me to take action early.
Situation:
I got my hair cut by a new hair dresser back in November and she said I shed a significant amount of hair when she washed my hair.
I scheduled an appointment with a Dermaologist. He confirmed that I do not have male pattern baldness (aga) and this is stressed induced Telogen Effluvium. Ran full blood panel, everything came back fine. He prescribed some ketocloanzal shampoo for dandruff and told me to use topical min.
Watching my hairline steadily march back and seeing hair in the drain every shower has been emotionally devastating. I have extremely thick hair, and I can notice I have less body on my full scalp, not just my hairline.
I have an assessment with a trichologist week, not sure what will come of that.
I am at the point where I want to take action NOW. Topical min just isn’t going to work for me. I have a cat and cannot see me incorporating this into my routine in perpetuity.
Is an oral combo of fin/min appropriate for TE? That’s what direction I’m leaning. Any vitamin regimes out there that would help?
Thanks in advance for your help.
