30M Switching from 3-Year Topical Min/Fin to Oral Min – Seeking Advice

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to know if anybody has experience switching from topical min/fin to just Oral Min?

I was going bald at 27 and started taking a Happy Head prescription of Min/Fin/Retinoic Acid/Hydrocortisone. (8%/,3%, .001%/1%)

I am 30 now and I’ve made great gains and have a pretty full head of hair now.

Happy Head is $70 a month, but I found out my insurance covers Oral min for 15$ a month. I talked to a dermatologist and he prescribed it for and said it shouldn’t be an issue.

Has anyone done this before? I wanted to know if any of you had gone through this switch before I start?

Switching to oral min might boost your hair regimen, but bear in mind you’ll be losing the DHT blocking effects of fin. Keep an eye on changes in hair loss or side effects. Oral min can be more potent, but also watch for side effects like increased hair growth in other areas. Stick with it for a while to evaluate any changes, as with any treatment shift, it may take some time to see how it affects your hair. Check out the Beginner’s Guide to learn more.
