Switched to a different topical Fin 0.1% + Min 5% solution about 6 days ago. Had to switch from the previous solution (topical Fin 1% + Min 5%) which I have been using for 10 weeks as it did not have any ethanol or propylene glycol based carrier vehicle. It only had water, glycerin as carrier vehicle.
I took this pic I had about 50 odd hairs come off while applying ketoconazole shampoo. Is this normal ?
Shedding can happen with the switch in topical solutions, especially with changes in carrier vehicles like going from ethanol-based to glycerin-based. It might just be a temporary adjustment period, so keep monitoring it. Ketoconazole shampoo can also contribute to some shedding initially. Give it a few more weeks, and if shedding continues, consider reverting back to the old formula or tweaking the routine. Check out the Beginner’s Guide for more info.
