22M: Minoxidil 6% Ineffective, Switching to Oral Minoxidil & Topical Fin, Concerns?

Been using minoxidl since I was 18. Began at a 4% concentration and slowly bumped it up to 6% concentration, avoided any type of finasteride because of side effects. However it wasn’t enough and I continued thinning, just at a slow pace.

Went from a Norwood 1 to a Norwood 3 in those years. However I wanted to stop the thinning permenantly and also want some regrowth. Now my new stack is 5% minoxidl topical, 0.1% Topical Fin and I will also be using Oral minoxidl on top of that.

I am still not taking Oral Fin because I am scared of the side effects. Will my new stack be enough to stop by thinning and even give me some regrowth for now, because I am worried.

Switching to oral min might help stop your thinning and promote regrowth since it’s stronger than topical min. Adding 0.1% topical fin can tackle DHT without much risk of side effects. Just give it some time, results can take months to show. Keep using your treatments consistently and monitor how you respond.
