I’m 19, and my hair started getting worse about two years ago. For the past month, I’ve been using Rogaine, and four days ago I started taking about 0.5 mg of finasteride daily. So far, I haven’t seen any improvement, and I’m not happy with how things look. My scalp gets oily very quickly, so I have to wash my hair every day, and I still lose at least 20 hairs each time.
What worries me most:
I’m losing density all over, which makes me think I might have DUPA. I’ve heard that it’s much harder to treat.
I’ll attach a photo of my dad (he’s 55) - I think my situation looks quite similar to his. The other photos are of me with dry and wet hair (how bad does it look?).
My second question is about finasteride side effects. For the past three days, I’ve felt a slight discomfort in my testicles, but I’m hoping it goes away.
