19M: Finasteride Causing Gyno? Considering Anastrozole for Hair Loss Treatment

Last year I took topical fin (0.1% applied twice a day, 1 mL each time) and I kinda developed gyno from it three months in. I dont think I ever had perfectly flat nipples ever lol I remember some gyno being there from puberty but this made my nipples quite puffy. I had 0 symptoms like itching or burning or whatever (until someone pointed it out and somehow all of the weird feelings started happening lol).

I’m restarting fin coz my hairloss keeps getting worse (I was 18 then, I am 19 now so still young ofc) and honestly my chest started tingling hours in the first dosage. It goes away when im preoccupied with something else so I dont think gyno has flared up yet. Only my left nipple though which ironically is the only one with an actual tiny gland below it but its veryyy tiny. Its a weird sensation though, kind of a cooling sensation, and I’ve been touching them a bit so theyre getting a bit… wet?? But if topical gyno alone made it so much worse- could oral straight up give me A cups or something??

Also btw, I’m not fat  62 kgs at 172 cm so body wise I’m fine. I was thinking of starting low dose anastrozole such as 0.125 mg per week, but not sure. I don’t wanna lose my hair :frowning: I already dont look good but my curly long hair is my saving grace atp. Should I wait atleast a month and reassess (I’m kinda hoping my body will adjust) or just go on the AI? I have no other symptoms btw but its only been two days so.

fin can cause some hormone fluctuations, which may explain the nipple issues. try sticking with topical fin but keep an eye on symptoms. jumping on anastrozole might not be the best first move, as it can mess with estrogen levels a lot. see how it goes for a bit, and if you’re worried, consider adjusting the fin dosage or form. just monitor closely for now.

unfortunately cant use topical fin for now, and it wasnt doing anything either way lol hence i asked. im waiting to see if they subside on their own, but if they dont i might do a very low dose anyway.
