19, Trichologist Avoiding Minoxidil, Slow Progress with Seborrheic Dermatitis Treatment

Hi, like the title says im started treatment with my trichologist 6 months ago and for some reason she keep saying that minoxidil doesnt help/is risky and gives me other medicine that change each month or so mostly aimed at my seborrheic dermatitis.

While at the start i got good improvement like hair quality and hair loss my regrowth was always weak, now im at the sixth month and im only in slightly better situation than i was in september, do you have any ideas why my trichologist doesnt raccoment min?

And i should i start min regardless? Im 19 and this is affecting my life way more than i like to admit and im scared im just wasting time with this treatment

Your trichologist might be avoiding min because sebderm can make the scalp sensitive, and min might cause extra irritation. If you feel your sebderm is under control, introducing min could be worth it, but start slow to see how your scalp reacts. Consider using ketoconazole shampoo and maybe CBD oil with MCT to help with inflammation.
