So I’m 17 years old and currently having recession in my hairline at a Norwood 2 progressing to a three with a lot of my hair thinning out. I’ve currently been on minoxidil for around a year but nothing at all so now I’m starting to get worried and want to hop on fin with min. However I can’t seem to find any websites that are legit and not having to show id to get the fin. If there is any that sells and are legit please let me know.
you typically cannot do it legally. in an ideal world when you are progressing to nw3 at 17, you should be on finasteride or dutasteride due to risk-benefit ratio however few physicians would do it unfortunately for somebody at your age. this is not to say at 17 it is ok to use finasteride, but going bald when you are not even 20 is far worse than what negligible benefit eg. in genital development you would get from DHT. so your only option would be grey market but their legitimacy is a question, I cannot endorse them due to obvious legal reasons. also this forum is dead you are better of in r/tressless subreddit. your best bet legally might be seeing an endocrinologist or a relevant doctor (perhaps a dermatologist too but I am not sure) to assess your development who may give you a green light and seeing a telehealth agency to get a subscription to finasteride eg. topical min+fin mixes from companies like keeps or hims by showing them the green light you received from an endocrinologist. that is the only sure-proof way of getting on real finasteride+minoxidil, or you can see a telehealth/dermatologist and get propecia if you don’t wanna mess with topical after green light has been given.
